Concerts on the Slopes: Sawyer Brown

Apr 8th, 2026 at Park City Institute

“We don’t have a lot of love songs. We have life songs.” – Mark Miller

For more than 40 years, Sawyer Brown has defined what it means to be a high-energy, blue-collar, American band. Long before The Voice or American Idol, America fell in love with their electrifying performances on Star Search with Ed McMahon, where this charismatic country-rock group stunned the nation and won it all.

From Nashville underdogs to nationwide stars, Sawyer Brown hit the ground running—spending their first year and a half on the road with Kenny Rogers, playing arenas across the country and learning from one of the best. Since then, they’ve carved out a legendary career filled with nonstop touring, unforgettable shows, and an unwavering dedication to their fans.

Their sound recalls super-groups like Alabama and the Charlie Daniels Band—yet their edge, swagger, and presence evoke the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith. It’s that blend of country storytelling and rock ‘n’ roll spirit that has captivated audiences for four decades.

Today, Sawyer Brown is still delivering the same unapologetic, grassroots, good-time energy that made them a household name. Their songs are stories of real life, real people, and the heart of America.

Concerts on the Slopes: The Psychedelic Furs

Apr 8th, 2026 at Canyons Village

The Psychedelic Furs may not have invented rock & roll per se, but their influence since arriving on the post-punk scorched-earth landscape four decades ago has reverberated and resonated among all those who cherish the sweet-and-sour spot where rawness and romanticism meet.

Born out of the UK post-punk scene and led by the vocalist and songwriter Richard Butler, and his bass-wielding brother Tim, the Furs quickly developed as one of the premiere bands at college and alternative radio, scoring a flurry of major hits with "Love My Way," "Pretty In Pink," "Heaven," "The Ghost In You, “And “Heartbreak Beat” in all being released eight studio albums, spawning several compilations, a boxed set, a live concert DVD, and inspiring one of the most iconic motion picture soundtracks of all time.

Decades later, their latest release “Made Of Rain” charted in a multitude of countries and became the Furs’ Second-highest-ranked UK Album ever. It was prominently featured in the end of year “Best Albums” chart roundup in dozens of publications worldwide. But the Furs especially thrive live in concert having headlined at the U.K.’s famed Glastonbury Festival, and more recently at esteemed venues including the Hollywood Bowl, London’s Royal Albert Hall, New York’s Radio City Music Hall, and Nashville’s Grand ‘Ole Opry among others. With adazzling live show, they continue to tour quite regularly across the globe

Concerts on the Slopes: Better than Ezra, Tonic, and Vertical Horizon

Apr 8th, 2026 at Park City Institute

Three iconic bands. One legendary night.

Get ready for a powerhouse evening of timeless alternative rock as Tonic, Better Than Ezra, and Vertical Horizon take the stage for an unforgettable summer concert in the mountains.

Some songs, albums, and live performances are simply timeless. Since their early roots in 1988—playing house parties at Louisiana State University—Better Than Ezra have carved out a lasting place in modern rock. From their 1995 #1 hit “Good” to Taylor Swift’s 2010 cover of the Better Than Ezra classic “Breathless,” the band’s influence has remained undeniable. In 2025, Better Than Ezra celebrated 30 years of their breakthrough debut album Deluxe with a sold-out hometown show at the Fillmore New Orleans—a full-circle moment honoring the record that helped define alternative rock in the ’90s, including songs like “Good,” “In the Blood,” and “Rosealia. Named one of Billboard’s “100 Greatest Alternative Artists of All Time,” and still evolving, Better Than Ezra spent 2024 releasing their tenth studio album, Super Magick, and headlining major tours—proof that their music and live shows remain as vital as ever.

Joining them is Vertical Horizon, a band built on a commitment to superior music and the artistically creative high road. At the center is founder, writer, lead singer, and guitarist Matt Scannell, who continues to drive the band forward with a relentless spirit of exploration and authenticity. With the freedom of operating outside major-label constraints, Vertical Horizon’s music today comes from what Scannell calls “the purest place”—guided by one question: Does it mean something to us?

Vertical Horizon rose to massive success in 1999 with Everything You Want—a multi-platinum album whose title track hit #1 and became the most played single of 2000. Fans also know them for unforgettable radio staples like “You’re a God” and “Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning).”

And rounding out the night is Tonic, bringing their signature mix of raw emotion and explosive rock energy, including massive hits like “If You Could Only See” and “You Wanted More.”
