FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: December 19, 2023
Debuting on December 22nd, the Gondola Art Stroll will offer a winter wonderland experience enchanting guests through the end of the season, April 2024.
CVMA is pleased to announce the debut of the Gondola Art Stroll, a captivating collaboration with Arts Council Park City and Summit County set to enchant visitors in Canyons Village at Park City Mountain starting December 22nd. Opening in line with Silver Night Skies the following night in picturesque Park City, Utah, the Gondola Art Stroll will enhance guests’ winter experience through April 2024.
In partnership with Arts Council Park City and Summit County and curated by a selection of local and regional artists, CVMA is transforming five gondolas in Canyons Village into miniature Winter Wonderland-themed scenes. Positioned throughout the village, these gondolas will offer a unique experience reminiscent of a snow globe or window stroll. Guests will have the opportunity to peer into each gondola through the windows, discovering whimsical scenes that celebrate the magic of winter.
The Gondola Art Stroll will run from December 22nd to the end of the ski season, providing a festive and artistic touch to the Canyons Village landscape. Each gondola will feature a QR code, offering an interactive element to the stroll. When scanned, the QR code will direct visitors to a map showcasing the locations of each gondola, artist bios, and a list of fun items to find within each scene. The artists featured include locally based painter Anna Leigh Moore, contemporary Western artist Elizabeth Walsh, multi-medium artist based out of Park City Heather Peteroy, along with contributions from Brooke Smart & Jeremy Morgan, and the team behind Luminous Arts, Sally & Jessica Nielson-Berg.
“This collaboration with Arts Council Park City and Summit County allows us to bring art to unexpected places and create a magical experience for our guests,” said Whitney W. Ryan, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at CVMA. “The Gondola Art Stroll is a celebration of creativity and community, enhancing the Canyons Village atmosphere during the winter season.”
The Gondola Art Stroll not only showcases the talent of local and regional artists but also adds an exciting and immersive element to the winter landscape. Visitors are encouraged to explore Canyons Village, embarking on a visual journey that captures the spirit of the season.
