Park City Utah (January 19, 2022) — Park City Mountain is pleased to announce Darren Ingram as the new Director of Golf for Canyons Golf. Darren brings strong leadership, a passion for golf and great knowledge of the golf industry and Canyons Golf specifically. Darren first joined Canyons Golf in 2017 as a PGA intern, at which point he fell in love with the course and Park City. He then took a brief hiatus to sharpen his teaching skills as an apprentice to Butch Harmon but was soon convinced to rejoin us in 2020 as the Supervisor of Golf Operations. Most recently, Darren was the Golf Operations Manager and was responsible for all front of house operations.
Previous to his golf career, Darren spent 13 years in the Air Force. Some of his most enjoyable time during his service was spent as an intelligence analyst, as it gave him the opportunity to travel around the world and experience many different cultures. At the age of 34, Darren went back to college at the University of Nevada Las Vegas to pursue a degree in what he was passionate about: hospitality and golf. A few of Darren’s other hobbies include hiking, attending live music events and theatre performances, spending time cruising around on his motorcycle and traveling.
In his new role, Darren will join the Hospitality Senior Leadership Team at Park City Mountain and will lead the entire golf operation and offered services. He is supported by his Superintendent, Davis Dewey. Park City Mountain and CVMA are very excited to see Darren further his strong relationships with Canyons Golf members and resort guests and continue to provide an exceptional golf experience.
